As parents find themselves with children who are not adolescents anymore and not yet adults, it is often helpful to have another member in the community support and work with your child. As tweens and teens go through the powerful, turbulent, amazing experience of living through this time period, we can be interested, caring, supportive mentors for your child.
We offer programs in which your tween/teen can be a “helper” during our programming. Through this, we ultimately hope that your tween/teen can explore and get to know themselves better within a safe, loving context of supporting our programming. Our teen/tween helpers attend our programming and help with chores related to set up/clean up/preparing for activities during the day, help to model respectful, engaged behavior during the day and learn how to be supportive to the younger students.
We mentor interested teens/tweens to develop these capacities and deepen their confidence in who they are.
